Mental Health Marketing Conference.

In the mid 2010’s, I started the Mental Health Marketing Conference.

I was like 25 and had no clue what I was doing. I was passionate and excellent at ignoring that voice telling me I had no right to try this.

I ran 5 more of those conferences, selling it only after having my second child in the middle of the pandemic. The con ran for 5 more years after my departure, for which I consulted occasionally.

The con drew over 500 attendees per event and many sponsors at it’s height, but it was not about making money as much as meeting a need.

Mental Health Marketing was only crisis-oriented. When someone was in trouble we bombarded them with drug abuse or self harm avoidance ad words and marketing, but very little was being done before that in a patient life-cycle.

I set out to bring consumer marketing tactics to Behavioral health and helped change an entire industry's marketing practices.
